"Every issue today is a woman's issue - the defense of our country, our economy, education, health care, energy and protecting the environment," Pelosi said. Still, for her, the most important role of a woman's life - that of being a mother and homemaker.

Brad Pitt On Gay Marriage

Actor Brad Pitt donated $100,000 money to support same-sex marriage. The money was meant to fight California's November ballot initiative that would overturn the State Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage.

"Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8," Brad Pitt said.

Matt Damon on the Republican nominee for VP Sarah Palin

"You do the actuary tables, there's a one out of three chance, if not more, that McCain doesn't survive his first term, and it'll be president Palin. It's like a really bad Disney movie, 'The Hockey Mom,' 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska,' and she's president. She's facing down Vladimir Putin and using the folksy stuff she learned at the hocky rink. It's absurd."

British Actress Helen Mirren On Cocaine And Date Rape Experience

Academy Award winning actress Helen Mirren, 63, was quoted by GQ mgazine as saying she loved cocaine and used marijuana when she was younger.

"I loved coke. I never did a lot, just a little bit at parties. It ended for me when [Nazi war criminal] Klaus Barbie was caught in the early '80's in South America...living off the proceeds of being a cocaine baron. I saw how my little sniff at a party had an absolute direct route to this...horrible man."

Mirren was also quoted in the interview about her date rape experiences : "I was [date-raped], a couple of times. Not with excessive violence, but rather being locked in a room and made to have sex against my will." Mirren said a woman had the right to say "no" at the last second and that, if the man ignored her, it was rape.

Anne Hathaway On U.S. Presidential Candidate Barack Obama

"I was kind of afraid of Obama the first time I saw him. I've been burned by guys like [him] before, politicians that I wanted to believe in and who just didn't live up to it. I was afraid to trust, afraid to have hope when I first kind of became aware of him. It was around the time that he gave his speech on race that I just said "I can't deny how I feel about you, Barack Obama. I want you to be the president. I want you in the White House."
