Guy Richie On Madonna And Their Marriage

Film director and Madonna's husband Guy Ritchie broke his silence over circulating rumors that their eight-year marriage is on the rocks.

"My marriage is fine as far as I'm aware of. " He said Madonna had allowed him to look at his hometown in London with fresh eyes. "I live vicariously through my wife, so I was once a spy and now I've become a tourist, and it's much more fun to live in London as a tourist than it is as a spy," the British director was quoted as telling People in an interview.

Amanda Seyfried On Acting With Meryl Streep

Amanda Seyfried played the character Sophie with veteran costars, Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard in "Mamma Mia! The Movie." Gleaned from her interviews, she finds it fulfilling and exciting to act with Meryl Streep. Excerpts :

"First of all, it was quite shocking to have gotten the role. So, coming into a movie where I'm supposed to be playing opposite her, it was really intimidating. Because, Meryl is quite possibly, the greatest actress. I didn't think I could be capable of performing at her level, so instead of expecting that of myself, I just allow her to take me into her zone.

"It was incredible to meet her because she completely took the intimidation factor from 100 to zero. She was like "I'm so nervous to sing Abba songs!" That, of course, made me feel like I should make her feel better. When I saw she was scared, I thought, Meryl is scared, and I'm scared. It's okay - we're all scared together. We'll be able to knock it out in some way, because we have people supporting us."

Pierce Brosnan On His First Singing Role In "Mamma Mia! The Movie"

"I'm the last man you expect to see in this musical - from an M16 man to someone in spandex and tights, flouncing around with a couple of boys who are also in spandex and tights."

Brosnan was referring to Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgard , the other two actors playing the cast of three former boyfriends of Meryl Streep's character Donna in "Mamma Mia! The Movie."

"It was challenging, but I had the time of my life doing it. Colin and I came on the same plane a couple of nights ago, and he said, 'I think that was the best summer of my life.' I replied: 'I agree with you.' And I really do! When you make friends with people like Stellan and Colin - men whom you admire - and then, you add to that Meryl Streep, life doesn't get better than that, really. You wrap it all in Abba's music and the movie's beautiful story."

Meryl Streep On Her Full Musical Role In "Mamma Mia! The Movie"

"Oh, the singing and dancing was just like being invited to play every day. I couldn't dance as well as I wanted to but I could justify it by saying, well, Donna's not a dancer. She's running a hotel. But I felt like it was a great opportunity."

Meryl plays Donna, a former member of a singing trio who operates a Greek hotel villa and whose daughter wants to find her father on her wedding day. The father is played by Pierce Brosnan. Meryll said on Amanda Seyfried, who plays her bride-to-be daughter Sophie, "From the moment Amanda opened her mouth in the first reading, I felt like she was one of my daughters. She is strong. She has a quiet voice but she has a stubborn streak. The word that keeps coming up about her is delicious. That's the way I feel about my girls. It's very easy to feel that Amanda was too young to get married, just like the way I feel about my girls."

Reflecting on her own family life, Meryl declared : "As time goes on, I'm just more grateful to be alive. I have so many friends who have been ill. I'm really grateful for everything I'm given and I'm given a great deal. I feel compelled to give back in different ways. My New Year's resolution was to give more, engage more because I'm a crab. I'm a Cancer. I don't like to go out and party but I'm trying to be more engaging and deal with the world outside more because life is short. You've got to meet everybody you can."

Donald Trump On Business And Life

"I know that streetwise people know that business really doesn't matter. It is just a game, and we are all here to have a good time while we can...It is because problems that may seem big to you really do not matter in the grand scheme of things."

Will Smith On The Question : "What set you apart from other stars in your "class"?

"It isn't talent - many actors have that. Maybe it's the fact that I've always pushed myself to do better. I feel we all owe it to our viewers, to give them something new and special all the time.

"But, more than anything else, I think the edge I may possibly have over others is the skill I've acquired from studying and actual experience. I've worked really hard to develop it through the years, and I think that's what fans recognize in and appreciate about my performances."

Director Osborne Talks About Angelina Jolie In "Kung Fu Panda"

"Directing Angelina Jolie is pretty surreal. I mean, she's amazing. You have to kind of look away, you know? You can't look at her directly while she's performing, or your brain goes to mush. But what's even more amazing about her is that she brings to the character. I mean - in all of our sketching, in all of our pretending, we were trying to work out the character on our own. But Tigress, onthe page, was really a secondary character...but not with her on the role. She was complex and there were solid reasons for every choice. She brought warmth to the character. She didn't just come off as the jilted contender who is angry at Po for being there and taking her place. She was supposed to be the Dragon Warrior, and because of Po, she isn't. Her huge spirit and talents as a performer give Tigress all of these layers, and the character really expanded and grew deeper under her touch."

Ana Ivanovic On Becoming No.1

Servian Ana Ivanovic, who won the French Open and is now into Wimbledom as a strong contender, said :

"Becoming no.1 makes more pressure, but you must see pressure for what it is. It's a reflection of your own ambition. If you see it as a positive thing, it means that you put yourself in a position to do something memorable. If you look at it that way it can be very motivating."
